The 20th Jazz Vespers, a popular non-traditional service, will take place on Sunday, May 20, at 7 p.m. at the Episcopal Church, 184 Cross Highway in Redding.
Familiar jazz standards relating to the quirky theme “The Eyes Have It” will be performed, including Angel Eyes, Soul Eyes, and I Only Have Eyes for You.
The service will feature six musicians, Atla DeChamplain, Matt DeChamplain, Martha Meyer, Dave Savitsky, Matt Dwonszyk, and Ben Bilello. Short readings and poems will precede the songs. A reception will follow.
