Mortimer Berliner, WWII veteran

Mortimer William Berliner of Trumbull and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., died on Oct. 1, 2014. He was the husband for 63 years of Janice Rosenfeld Berliner, father of Edward Berliner and Barbara of New Fairfield; Andrew Berliner and Maureen of Weston; James Berliner and Shirley of Newtown; and is also survived by 10 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Hilda and Herbert Berliner. Mr. Berliner was a graduate of Bronx High School of Science, Seton Hall University, and holder of the CPCU designation. Jack Buchta, 73

John “Jack” Buchta of Shelton, died Sept. 26, 2014, at Bridgeport Hospital. He was 73. Mr. Buchta was born in Norwalk to the late Frederick and Elizabeth (Hogan) Buchta. He was the proprietor of Klein’s Printing Company of Westport for more than 30 years. He was also a member of the Printing Industry of CT and a former member of the Sunrise Rotary Club in Westport.
