Ruth Geraldine Roth (Gerry), of Westport, CT, passed away during the early afternoon of Saturday September 20th. She was born to the late Gerald and Marie Schaffer December 10, 1937, in Tell City, IN. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School 1956 where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She married the love of her life, Donald Roth in 1957. At the age of 40, Gerry earned a double degree in History and English Literature while raising three children. Chief Joseph Austin “Mac” McAleenan (Retired), 86, of New Bern, NC, formerly of Westport, CT, husband of Rita (Keehan) McAleenan passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014, peacefully at home in the company of his family. Joseph was born in New York, NY on February 24, 1928, the son of the late Harold and Muriel (Moore) McAleenan. Former Weston Police Chief Joseph Austin “Mac” McAleenan died peacefully at his North Carolina home in the company of his family on Friday, Sept. 12. He was 86.
