Actor Charles Keating dies at his Weston home

Award-winning actor and community benefactor Charles Keating died on his 50th wedding anniversary, Friday, Aug. 8, at his Weston home. He was 72. Mr. Keating was born in London in 1941, and was a British actor of stage, screen, and television. “Charles was a lifelong actor. Acting meant everything to him,” said his wife, Mary Keating. Mr. Keating performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company before turning to television, where he starred in multiple soap operas from 1983 to 2003.   Laura Plimpton, a longtime Weston resident, died on Wednesday, August 6, at Norwalk Hospital. The cause of death was a complication from a brain aneurism. She was 59.Laura Dorothy Kostyra, the youngest of six children, was born on March 4, 1955 in Jersey City to Martha and Edward Kostyra. Harry J. Brasslett, 79, died at his home in Weston, on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, surrounded by his two youngest children, Barbara Allen and Michael Brasslett, both of Weston.
